Love is Everything

Love is not something that you say, it is something that you do.ย

LOVE is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible-ย

it cannot be seen or measured ;

yet is powerful enough toย

TRANSFORM YOU IN A MOMENT,ย

and offer you more joy than any material possession ever could.ย

Barbara de Angelis PH. Dย

There are too many different ways to define LOVE. But only few have a deep understanding of its real meaning. Some says…ย

Itโ€™s a food,
for the rich and the poor.
The guiding star,
towards heavensโ€™ tour.
Wings,
that makes all creatures fly.
A gift,
in store, you cannot buyโ€ฆ
A cure,
for the sickness
of mankind.
Bible says:
LOVE is patient and kind.
A solvent,
that weakens the Iron Man.
A celebrity,
Oh! Iโ€™m a die-hard fan!
A song,
that even birdโ€™s could sing.
A link,
that connects all strings.
A book,
that a blind could read.
The word behind
the โ€˜DISCIPLEโ€™S CREEDโ€™.
A bridge,
that leads to different lands.
A fire,
that warmth's a frozen hand.
A dove,
above those wedding bellโ€™s-
Itโ€™s All the things,
that I could tell!

If I Had My Child to Raise Again

If I had my child to raise again,
Iโ€™d build self-esteem first,
Iโ€™d finger paint more,
And point the finger less.
I would do less correcting,
And more connecting.
Iโ€™d take my eyes off my watch,
And watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less
And care to know more.
Iโ€™d take more hikes
And fly more kites.
Iโ€™d stop playing serious,
And seriously play.
I would run through more fields
And gaze at more stars.
Iโ€™d do more hugging
And less tagging.
Iโ€™d see the Oak tree
In the acorn more often,
And affirm much more.
Iโ€™d model less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.

Single Mom

I feel you, your pain, physically, mentally and emotionally., I understand you, your sacrifices. I hear you. your silent cries, your jumbled thoughts that keeps you awake at night. I know, it isnโ€™t easy. I believe that being a single mom is the toughest job on Earth. You have to juggle too many roles. From cleaning the house to helping the kids, to going to work, to tucking the kids at night. you will wake up when everyone is still asleep , to prepare their day. And you have to wait for everyone to sleep before you can finally rest your body in bed at night. And when you close your eyes, there goes the bills , the this and that that you have to care about.. not to mention the pressures at work, your health and all. Then there you are, staring blankly at the ceiling trying to figure out everything, forcing your exhausted brain to come up with something. And you only have yourself to embrace with when tears broke in. You feel helpless. you wish you can just give up. Everyday is a battle. And thereโ€™s never an easy one, but you will wipe your tears away and smile, you ll pray and will firmly convince yourself that you will get through it.  I donโ€™t know how you do it, but you will still wake up the next day with a smile on your face. If you are not a superhero, I donโ€™t know what is.

You didnโ€™t plan to be a single mom. All of us once wished to be a princess with a knight in shining armor, and live happily ever after. but life is not a fairy tale honey.. so you just have to deal with your cards. Being a single mom is a broad, deep, complicated thing that only those whoโ€™ve walked the same road may fully understand. It is not for the weak and fainthearted. It takes a lot of courage to be one. Most of your days you will feel like you failed. You can work day and night and worn your body and soul, but thatโ€™s never enough to call u the best mom. it aches your heart that you cant give your kids the quality time they need. You can hardly provide all the things that they want. you donโ€™t have holidays.. and well, you donโ€™t even have the minute to think of finding your man. To find someone who can accept you and everything about you is another story. Sometimes life is difficult. it feels impossible to take a breath, even for a strong woman. And on those moments when the walls feels like closing and suffocating you, when options are limited., just remind yourself that they canโ€™t break you! youโ€™re doing well ๐Ÿ™‚ Sometimes it may really take long, but even the clouds run out of rain. These too, the hardships, shall pass. stay strong.

Like a Little Candle

Like a little candle
On a deafening, silent night
When darkness fills all corners
My light will make it bright.
A light I cannot keep,
to brighten up my own-
No matter how much I give,
I would shine but feels alone.
And on a stormy weather,
When winds are raging, blowing cold-
I am here to keep you warm,
just come closer to me, behold.
Such warmth I wish to feel,
to tame my troubled heart.
Burning love to end my fears,
like the heat of sun when rain departs.
On times of your despair,
When loved-ones left or gone-
I am here to mourn with you,
Iโ€™ll be up until youโ€™re done.
Those tears, I longed to cry,
To let go these pains I keep.
Im tired to say Iโ€™m strong,
When inside I sob and weep.
But like a little candle,
Iโ€™ll keep shininโ€™ for your sake.
I wonโ€™t make noise about my sorrow-
Itโ€™s the fate I have to take.
So embrace the light I give-
For it is my strength and life I spend,
And as these sorrow fades and through-
The candleโ€™s life will end.

Why Am I Afraid to Love?

HUMAN PAINS IN A LOVELESS

All of us to some extent are enduring agonies of loneliness, frustration, emotional and spiritual starvation. Somehow these pains are radically due to failures in love. The essential sadness of such pain is that it magnetizes the focus of our attention; it preoccupies us with ourselves. And self-preoccupation is an absolute obstacle to a life of love.

I once asked a Psychiatrist friend of mine, โ€œHow can you teach people to love?โ€ His answer was mildly surprising o say the least. He answered the question by asking one of his own:โ€ Did you ever have a toothache?โ€ Of whom were you thinking during the distress of your toothache?โ€ His point was clear. When we are in pain, even if itโ€™s only a passing discomfort of an aching tooth, we are thinking about ourselves.

The Psychiatrist continued,โ€ This is a pain-filled world in which we are living. And the pains that reside deep in the human hearts around us are not like a toothache. We go with them at night and we wake up with them in the morning. Two-thirds of all the hospital beds in this country are now occupied by mental patients. One out of ten Americans has already been treated for mental illness. The pain inside of them became too deep and required professional attention.

โ€œThis is a pain-filled world, and so, a loveless world that we live in. Most human beings are so turned-in by their own pains that they cannot get enough of themselves to love to any great extent.โ€

The Law of Life

The Great Law
  • “As you sow, so shall you reap.” This is also known as the “Law of Cause and Effect.”
  • Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us.
  • If what we want is happiness, peace, love and friendship. Then we should be happy. peaceful, loving and a true friend.
The Law of Creation
  • Life doesnโ€™t just Happen, it requires our participation.
  • We are one with the Universe, both inside and out. Whatever surrounds us, gives us clues to our inner state
  • Be yourself. Surround yourself of what you want to have in present in your life.
The Law of Humility
  • What you refuse to accept will continue for you.
  • If what we see is an enemy or someone with a negative trait or personality, then we ourselves are not focus on our level of high existence.
The Law of Growth
  • Wherever you are, there you are.
  • For us to grow in spirit, it is us who must change – not people or things around us.
  • The only given we have in our lives is ourselves and that is the only factor we have control over.
The Law of Responsibility
  • Whenever there is something wrong in my life, there is something wrong with me.
  • We mirror what surrounds us – and what surrounds us, mirrors us. This is a universal truth.
The Law of Connection
  • Even if something we do seems inconsequential, it is important that it gets done as everything in the Universe is connected.
  • Each step leads to the next step, and so on and so forth.
The Law of Focus
  • You cannot think of two things at the same time.
-When our focus is on spiritual values, it is impossible for us to have lower thoughts such as anger or grief.
The Law of Here and Now
  • Looking backward to examine what was, prevents us from being in the total here and now.
  • old thoughts, old patterns of behaviors, old dreams.., prevents us from having new one.
The Law of Change
  • History repeats itself until we learn the lesson that we need to change our path.
The Law of Claim and Practice
  • If you believe something to be true, then sometime in your life you will be called upon to demonstrate that particular truth.
  • Here is where we put our Claims that we have learned, into actual Practice.
The Law of Patience and Reward
  • All Rewards requires initial toil.
  • Rewards of value requires patient and persistence.
  • True joy follows doing what we’re supposed to be doing, and waiting for the reward to come in on its own time.
The Law of Significance and Aspiration
  • You get back from something, whatever you have put into it.
  • Every personal contribution is a contribution to the whole.
  • Loving contributions give life to, and inspire the Whole.

A FRIEND

A FRIEND…,
is someone who KNOWS you DEEPLY.
…who gets thru’ the REAL PERSON inside of you
and helps you let it out.
Someone who Talks with you FREELY about the REALMS of LIFE..,
even with ACHES and PAINS included.
Someone who UNDERSTANDS.
Someone who LISTENS-
…to what YOU are SAYING.
…to what YOU are TRYING to SAY, and CANNOT say..,
with or WITHOUT WORDS spoken.
Someone who DOES NOT COUNT
what was DONE for YOU..,
Rather, keep HOLDING your HANDS
till TROUBLES are THROUGH.
Someone who SHARES your LAUGHTER’S
and takes you OUT of the BLUE.
…does not Envy.
Instead, cheers and CELEBRATES
on SPECIAL Days of YOU.
Someone who CORRECTS you,
when you’re WRONG.
And PRAISES
when you’re RIGHT.
Someone who stills GIVES
though Days are ROUGH and TIGHT….
rushes to RESCUE you
prior ”BUT’S” and “WHY’S?”
…weaves a DREAM WITH YOU,
Under neath the STARS in SKIES
…CHOOSES YOU over Pride.
Someone who COMFORTS-
your SHELTER,
and GUIDE.
…SAILS with you
throughout the JOURNEYS
of your LIFE.
…reaches out despite DISTANCE.
Someone who SPEAK with PEACE
and WISDOM
…TOUCHES your HEART
…TICKLES your BONES
…ACCEPTS you as YOU ARE
WITH all her HEART and SOUL.
…PROVIDES you SPACE to breathe in.
…says SORRY for SHORTCOMINGS.
Someone UNBIASED, JUST and FAIR-
..not your MA’AM
..not your SIR…
TAKES and GIVES for Free
and NOT a MONKEY from “u banana-BUSINESS” tree.
Someone who STAYS
when all ‘good friends’ were GONE..
…FORGIVES sincerely with wide OPEN ARMS.
Someone who BELIEVES,
and LOVES you,
…UNDOUBTEDLY
….FAITHFULLY.
…At all times….
UNCONDITIONALLY.
